(Mat 9:15 KJV) And J'shua said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
(Mark 2:20 KJV) But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
(Luke 5:35 KJV) But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
(Luke 18:12 KJV) I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

(Acts 10:30 KJV) And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was Cleansing the Soul until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
(Acts 14:23 KJV) And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with Cleansing the Soul, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
Now these are 'elders in every church' notice; who pray and fast openly with purity, innocence and integrity. In other words how they pray publically is an exact reflection of how they pray and fast privately when no one is watching. This is in contrast to the self justifying pharisee above (further) who tythed also yet held himself in high self esteem ie pridefully in his own heart; whereas it was the sinner, broken and contrite, lowly and weeping who beat up on himself, who went away justified !( a teaching, the contrary of which most TBN and other pentecostal-charismatic cutting edge so called, 'ministries', have today) O how far exactly round the wrong way; exactly upside down have the teachings of fallen away 'Christianity' become. The real elect 'shall know of the doctrine'.
One is more than tempted, one is compelled to declare the state of christianity Worldwide to be so akin to Babylon as to be indistinguishable from it!
So help me J'shua!
Furthermore the elders are all the older spirit filled men from whom travelling elders are apointed. This mind you in a spirit filled church where all have access to speak, teach, pray read, prophesy, interpret tongues, testify, as the spirit leads. So that all the church has all the latest up to date information of who it is the Holy spirit is currently using. They are all not just personal cronies of the pastor or founder; their friendship with J'shua alone is all that counts. In too many churches centered really on money and powerful pastor worship I was thrown out (as scripture/J'shua declares we would be)-precisely because such a one as I, prayed up and Fasted-seeing visions-and actually having something current and Godly to impart to the churches-was athreat to the established theatre of 'faith'.
We had a revival in which the pastor was elected yet little known that for years for four days prior to every meeting (on sunday) and for twelve hours a day-you hear it here for the first time( this was from 1990-97) I prayed and wept for revival, mercy, blessing for that church. It was agony-I had no rights to speak-they seemed to go out of their way to stop me; yet I loved them. The conclusion I came to at great cost-they were not alone- was that, in the 'name' of J'shua they actually hated He Who Creates All Things, loving themselves far more- giving themselves titles, putting a fake positive spin on all they were doing. Ask yourself ,we know the sin of Paul- he murdered and tortured-and of Moses-he killed-and of David-he was an adultererWHAT IS THE KNOWN SIN OF THE PASTOR YOU FOLLOW?
Only then is it safe to accompany them in the faith for they are a sinner just as you are; they cannot then put themselves above you! If you do not know their sin after years of lies then you are deceived! You cannot trust them-they have laid an unlawful burden of their own apparent 'sinlessness' upon you-they are the local anti-The Anointed One to you, despite any pretence at a 'holy' appearance!
(Acts 27:33 KJV) And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued Cleansing the Soul, having taken nothing.
On exactly noon at the end of a fourteen day fast I received a large unsolicited gift from Doctor Beryl Wickramaratane of all her ministry materials; tapes ,videos, books. The moment I finished was the knock at the door! Amazed and overwhelmed I broke down and wept at such confirmation of my desire.In gratitude to the Lord that day and every day.
(1 Cor 7:5 KJV) Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to Cleansing the Soul and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
Husbands and wives are also to pray and fast.

Any who would be spiritual leaders ought to be noted for their prayer and Cleansing the Soul; and that with all modesty and humility.
